Our Private Lifeguard Policies & Procedures

 

All clients are required to adhere to the terms and conditions established herein. By booking our services and engaging our lifeguard(s) for your event, you expressly acknowledge and agree to be legally bound by the following terms and conditions.

 

 

Time and Travel Policy

  1. Extended Service Time

    • If the Client requests that a lifeguard remain on duty beyond the originally contracted service period, the Client shall be billed by Bray Watch Lifeguards in increments of fifteen (15) minutes.
    • Under no circumstances shall the Client make direct payment to the lifeguard for additional time.
    • Any cash provided to the lifeguard shall be considered a gratuity and shall not constitute payment for services rendered.

  2. Minimum Service Requirement

    • Lifeguards are contracted and compensated for a minimum service period of three (3) hours per event, irrespective of whether their services are required for the full duration.
    • If the Client requires lifeguarding services for a period shorter than three (3) hours, the full minimum service fee remains due and payable. However, the Client may elect to release the lifeguard early if their services are no longer needed.

  3. Early Release Policy

    • If the Client elects to release a lifeguard prior to the conclusion of the originally scheduled service period, the Client shall not be entitled to any refund, partial or otherwise, for unused time.

  4. Travel Stipend for Extended Distances

    • If the assigned lifeguard must travel a total distance exceeding fifty (50) miles round trip to the event location, Bray Watch Lifeguards reserves the right to require a travel stipend to compensate the lifeguard for additional travel expenses.
    • In such instances, the Client will be notified of the exact stipend amount prior to confirmation of the booking.
    • The Client may either accept the travel stipend fee or decline the booking, in which case the Client shall be entitled to a full refund of any amounts paid.

Additionally Insured Policy

  1. Private Residences

    • Bray Watch Lifeguards is unable to list private residential properties as additionally insured under our insurance policy. Requests for additional insured status for private residences will not be accommodated under any circumstances.

  2. Companies and Facilities

    • Businesses, commercial entities, and facilities may request to be designated as additionally insured under our policy for an additional fee of $150 per event.

  3. Request Procedure

    • To request additional insured status, the requesting entity must submit a written request via email to info@braywatchlifeguards.com prior to the event date.
    • Bray Watch Lifeguards reserves the right to review and approve such requests at its sole discretion.

Rush Service Policy

  1. Rush Booking Fee (48-72 Hours Prior to Event)

    • Any booking request submitted within 48 to 72 hours of the event start time will incur an automatic rush fee of $50 per lifeguard, which will be added to the total booking cost.

  2. Urgent Rush Booking Fee (24-48 Hours Prior to Event)

    • Any booking request made within 24 to 48 hours of the event start time will be subject to an urgent rush fee of $100 per lifeguard.
    • The lifeguard(s) assignment will be confirmed within 24 hours of the booking request. If no lifeguard is available, the client will receive a notification of unavailability and a full refund of the booking amount on the next business day.

  3. Rush Fee Refund Policy

    • The rush fee is non-refundable unless Bray Watch Lifeguards is unable to secure a lifeguard for the event. If the client chooses to cancel after confirming the booking, the rush fee will not be refunded.
